Morningside Umbrella Festival May update
Morningside Umbrella Festival: The current total raised is over £39,000. Thank you!
The Festival isn’t just the concerts; it’s open through the week and at weekends. If you can spare a few hours between Wednesday 27th May and Monday 15th June please discuss your availability with Kerry. Some volunteering roles are suitable for children over 12 years old so why not involve your children and grandchildren. There’s a launch on the 30 and 31st May with refreshments and music and face painting and crafts and baking and photo opportunities. Bring your friends and grandchildren. Spread the word. To run the events we need volunteers. For set up, those good at practical jobs….assembling, fixing, DIY. For the events – stewards, people on the door, on the craft stall, people to welcome visitors and tell them about our church. If you need a seated task, you can still help welcome or run the merchandise stall. As we run for 2 weeks, please sign up for more than one stint.
Festival Volunteers
Thank you to all have volunteered so far. Kerry will be holding 2 volunteer briefing sessions on Thursday 28th May at 11am and 6pm. You will get a sneak preview of what the festival is all about and an opportunity to ask questions and get excited about what the 2 weeks will hold.
