Gillian Field lives in Edinburgh and retired in 2019 after a career in medicine development. She is the younger daughter of Henry and Ingrid Wuga who were born in Germany in 1924. Being Jewish meant that Henry and Ingrid and their families were subjected to antisemitism under the Nazi regime and were in grave danger. At the age of 15 both were fortunate to escape Nazi Germany and came to the UK on the Kindertransport before the outbreak of the Second World War. Gillian speaks in schools all over Scotland and North England about her parent’s Holocaust experience stressing that hatred should never prevail. Ticket Price: Adults £30, children £15.
